Max Schaefer will be
directing and I will be choreographing with Amanda Williams doing our music direction. We

looking to assemble the strongest group of actor/singer/dancers that we have seen on
that stage yet! Audition dates
have just been set, performance dates are in June, and I
can get you more specific information as it becomes available,
but I want to get the word

Stormy Weather Players will be holding auditions for its spring play, "Arsenic and Old Lace."
Auditions will be on February 10th and 11th (Wednesday and Thursday), 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at the Cornwall Volunteer
Ambulance Corps (COVAC) in Cornwall, at the corner of Hasbrouck Ave. and Clinton St. (make a right onto Hasbrouck, off the
traffic circle).
The play, a classic, energetic farce, requires 11 men and 3 women (adults of various
ages; there are no children's roles). Teddy Roosevelt impersonators are especially welcome.
We are also

Hello all;
I hope you had a great holiday. I am presently looking for locations to shoot three
scenes for my documentary "Alien
Connection". The first one should be a very
rustic location set in the woods--I intend to shoot a very clandestine
meeting between
Stalin & Beria!
The second location can be a modest more formal location for a
shoot between President
Truman & Colonel Morris (commanding officer at Wright Field in 1947!). This scene will
introduce the new evidence regarding the reason why the trip was made.
The third location will involve
Donald McLean & Guy Burgess. I want to shoot a scene
at a secluded location in the countryside to set the stage
for their spy activity in the
British Embassy in Washington.

Stormy Weather Players is holding auditions for the staged "Old Time Radio Play" version
of "War of the Worlds". This adaptation is set in current times, in and around the
Cornwall and Orange County area!
Auditions will be held at Cornwall
Volunteer Ambulance Corps (COVAC) on August
31st and September 1st at 7:30pm.
There are voice parts for men and women, as well as some children/young adults. "Sides" (script excerpts) will be
available.
Rehearsals will begin on September 10th and performances will take place October 9th,10th, 16th, and 17th at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School.

on August 22nd, the Hodge Podge will be hosting an Open Audition for an original screenplay written by Joe Barra called 'They
Paved Paradise' based on Woodstock. The reading will be held on September 18th and 19th at the studio.
There are many roles open for this reading and we encourage anyone available for the show dates to come out and audition!

Creative Theatre–Muddy Water Players will hold open auditions on May11th
and 12th from 7 – 9:30 pm for the Cole Porter Broadway musical, “KISS ME, KATE”
at
The Playhouse at Museum Village, Route 17M in Monroe.
A prepared musical selection is recommended. Please bring sheet music to audition with piano accompanist and be prepared for a dance audition.

“Straight Land” – Characters Ari “Green Eyes” Fuentes: Male Lead.
23-year-old Puerto Rican. Slim build, attractive young poet trying to change American literature. Smart and optimistic. Became
addicted to heroin at an early age. Cool with every one. Grew up watching his parents get high. At the age of 13 he came home
from school and found his father dead on the toilet from a heroin over dose, needle in his arm. Presently in an unstable relationship
with lluvia, who he met one night in the subway. He’s a smoker and works for an insurance company where he’s been
missing a good amount of work. He likes it there because it gives him a sense of “normalcy” as he puts it.
Lluvia: Supporting lead female. 21. Cuban decent,
tanned, a very beautiful young lady. Average height (5’ 6” – 5’ 9”) nice petite figure and nice
long black hair. Some what forward, yet patient. She loves Green Eyes very much, she loves him for him, she sees him as very
talented, and loves that the most about him. All she wants is for him to love her the same way but can’t figure out
why he won’t. She’s his go to person and acknowledges he has some serious problems but doesn’t know how
to help him. A nursing student. She really listens to Green Eyes, she’s hisfemale counter part. Smart but at time naïve.
Experimental, she was introduced to heroin by Green Eyes and only uses around him.
Macho:
Supporting male: 22 yr. old heroin addict, Puerto Rican
decent, about 5’5 – 5’ 8” 160 lbs, Slender. Considerers himself a realist, can be sarcastic and a
bit smart-alecky. A bit depressed and is very jealous towards his friend Green Eyes. He’s a bit short tempered. Even
though he’s jealous of Green Eyes he really looks up to him, He just wishes that his friend stays in the same place
and stops trying to better himself. He and Green Eyes grew up together, so he can’t understand why Green Eyes has so
much talent and he doesn’t so he tries to knock Green Eyes every chance he gets; at the same time he hates being that
way. Because of this he resorts to suicide.
Pappito: Supporting.
Puerto Rican, 23 yrs old heroin addict, not so smart but is very street savvy about. 5’6 – 5’ 9” 175lbs.
fit to medium build. Likes to work out loves getting high. Likes the way it makes him feel. He loves Green Eye’s poetry
and supports him, but lets his friend down by not going to hear him at the café. Although he and Green Eyes are the
same age, he feels like a big brother to Green Eyes. Has grown up with Green Eyes and Macho and feels close to both of them.
Jolie Santiago Fuentes:
mother, 40-50ish, Very motherly. Dark looking. Rugged. Medium height for a woman. Spanish or Caucasian with ability to speak
Spanish. Committed to a mental hospital. She often puts her son down and takes out her resentment towards
her dead husband on him.
Juan: Puerto Rican
22, about 5’5 – 5’ 8, 170 lbs. Addicted to heroin. A real mellow person that doesn’t talk much but
observes a lot. He’s a solid friend, really believes in friendship. Sometimes he follows the crowd a little more than
he would like to. He thinks Green Eyes is a little weird, thought that ever since they met. He always thought it was funny
for a Spanish guy to listen to rock music, especially someone who grew up in the hood, but he accepts it.
Mandee: Supporting friend. Puerto Rican or Caucasian, 24. About 5’7 Slim
to athletic build. Uses heroin. High school friend, the oldest he sometimes assumes the big brother role when he feels the
need to. He’s a big fan of Green Eye’s poetry; he feels it’s deep and refreshing. He’s out spoken
at times when he feels it’s necessary, other wise he’s pretty laid back. Just likes to have a good time. Tony:
25. Puerto Rican or African-American, about 5’9 Heavy to muscular build. Heroin dealer who loves to work out. A real
grimey dude that no one trusts. A real sicko when he has to be. He likes Green Eyes a lot. Thinks there’s potential.
Lives in his mother apartment in the projects, which he sells mostly out of. Can be arrogant and would be considered rough
around the edges.
Lloyd:
Caucasian Male. 40 - 50. Average height. Green Eyes’ Artists’ manager. Shrewd. Impatient. Likes Green Eyes, but
dislikes some of his ways. Very straight forward. All about business.
Bobby: Mid 30’s – 40. Caucasian. Average height. Green Eyes’ boss. Friend of Green and
sees his pain. Knows guys. Layed back. Cool. Very open and understanding. “Friendly boss” until he feels he’s
being used or taken advantage of.

Hi All~
I will be directing Misery for Creative Theatre-Muddy Water Players this fall.
Auditions are September 15 and 16th from 7-9pm. At the Playhouse at Museum Village in Monroe, NY.
Though this piece is closely associated with the movie and its two lead actors, Kathy Bates and James Caan, I do not
want this to influence who does or does not show up for the auditions.
First and foremost, I am looking for two EXTREMELY STRONG actors. There is very little mention in the script
about age, or physical type, and many different combinations could work out well. The script calls for a male and a female...and that
will be my starting point, with all preconceptions thrown out the window.
Production dates are Nov 7, 8, 14, 15 at 8pm.

The Hodge Podge is a NEW Performing Arts and Music Rehearsal Studio in Vails Gate NY geared at offering many useful services
and products for area Performing Artists. We are currently looking for actors for our upcoming FREE Improv Night where
we will work on Improv exercises, scene improvisation, character development and various other acting techniques geared at
sharpening the acting skills of those involved. The Improv Night will be held bi-weekly and will consist of up to 10, possibly

Anthony Purzycki who is shooting a film called Disappering
Act is in need of a cinematographer. The pay
is small, $2500 plus a defererment rate. Into schedule, how ever the film will not be shot straight, we will doing 3 days
per week shoots. Hopefully with the exception of 1 week were we worked out though. we are providing the camera, we just need
the talent of a cinematographer who can operate a camera.
We also need a sound technician, preferable with own equipment,
pay is $4,000 plus deferment, if he doesn't have own equipment you will have to negotiate the cost.

The movie is an independent film about a fighter in this underground world who expriences a spiritual miracle after
he is shot. No pay involved- This project will be alot of fun.
Call time is noon and filming should last about 6-8 hours. If you are only able to do a few hours that is fine.
